The Conjuring is a damn good ghost story. I think it’s easily one of the best supernatural thrillers in years (if not a decade). So it was a real pleasure to sit down with director James Wan (Saw, Insidious) in San Francisco a few weeks back to talk about the film. As an added bonus, Lorraine Warren (a real-life clairvoyant and demonologist played by Vera Farmiga in the film) was also on hand. It was nice to hear her contrast the events of the film with how it down in real life. Also, she kind of read my aura… and you’ll have to watch the video to see what she said.
“The Conjuring tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.” In theaters July 19th, the film stars “Bates Motel’s” Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Haley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, Kyla Deaver and Sterling Jerins.
